Client: A large national health insurer in the US.
Project Brief: Project Manage an agile/scrum software development team to create a new payment system for this large insurer. The software module would be responsible for processing payments of hundreds of millions of dollars a year. The software must also integrate with adjudication and finance teams as well as sales force.
Challenges: The scrum team comprised of Project Sponsor and product owners in United States and a team of software developers in Ireland and Hungary, QA in the US. The brief also involved the project manager to be part of a project steering committee chaired by the CTO of the Insurance company.
Results: The project was completed on a phased basis and with a full deployment that came online last year, now processing payments nationally for hundreds of millions of dollars.
